In 2013, Project ACTS focused on bridging generations by organizing a heartwarming outing for St. Joseph’s Home residents and children to Gardens by the Bay. This special event gave the elderly a chance to experience the breathtaking floral displays and tranquil landscapes, offering them a refreshing escape from their daily routine.
To make the experience even more meaningful, we invited a group of children to join the visit, creating intergenerational bonding opportunities. The elderly engaged in storytelling sessions, light activities, and laughter-filled conversations with the children, bringing warmth and energy to the day.
The event emphasized the importance of community, companionship, and the exchange of wisdom between young and old. Through simple yet meaningful interactions, we witnessed the joy of connection, care, and kindness, reinforcing the power of Project ACTS in strengthening community ties.
